Sedgehill Academy is thrilled to share the recent achievements of our Year 12 Media students. In an enriching field trip, our students were hosted by House 337, a renowned Media Branding Company located on Great Portland Street. This exclusive experience allowed our students to engage directly with industry professionals, gaining valuable insights into the daily workings of a successful media company.
The day was split into two engaging segments. The first part provided our students with the opportunity to meet and learn from experts in the field. This interaction offered them a realistic glimpse into the dynamic world of media and branding, an experience our students described as incredibly valuable.
The excitement continued in the second part of the day, which saw our students participating in a competitive head-to-head challenge. Tasked with creating an advertisement for Anchor Butter, they showcased their creativity and strategic thinking. This practical exercise not only tested their skills but also highlighted their ability to work under real-world conditions.
We are proud to announce that a team of our students emerged as winners in this challenge. As a result, they have been re-invited to spend a day on set with the production team of House 337. This is not just a testament to their talent but also an exceptional opportunity for hands-on learning in a professional setting.
