We explored 7 local secondary schools for our daughter. I loved the feel of the school the resources and the values placed on offering a broad curriculum. The facilities were among the best I saw from the gym, labs, drama and music studios and art spaces. In truth though my daughter chose Sedgehill it was by far her favourite I think the library and drama studio sold it to her and she has not been disappointed as she enters year 10. Our son will be joining in September 2021 and we look forward to seeing him bloom.
Year 8 Parent
We have three children who are very different to eachother - we felt confident that each one would find a home, feel supported and excel at Sedgehill. We enjoyed a diverse, energetic, excellent local primary school and wanted the same for our children's secondary education - Sedgehill has given us that.
Parent of 3 students at Sedgehill
I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our visit to Sedgehill this morning. Thanks so much for fitting us in. We were really impressed and got a great feeling from the school. We went into a geography class and a student was put on the spot and asked to say how she felt about Sedgehill. I think her name was Angelina, I specifically wanted to mention how great she was at speaking without prior notice. She was so confident and eloquent, and gave a perfect summary of how inclusive Sedgehill is. I really appreciated hearing her thoughts.
Prospective parent on school tour
My son joined the school in Y7 in 2015 and has stayed on for 6th Form - he would not consider another school for his A level studies. Since we "joined" the school in 2015, we have seen many improvements. It is a happy and inclusive school and I recommend it to primary school parents looking for an all rounded education. The school is bright and airy with fantastic indoor and outdoor facilities. It's great that they also support local primary schools by offering the use of their sports grounds.
