We were really excited to be able to welcome Ellie Reeves, MP for Lewisham West and Penge, into school earlier this month. In the current political climate, it couldn't have been better timing to for students to gain a better understanding of how our political system works. Ellie kicked off by speaking to Sixth Form Politics students about her early days as an active member of Young Labour, her career as a lawyer and subsequent decision to stand as an MP in her local area. They were then joined by the Student Council members for a Q&A session in which she was asked about what her current priorities are, the most pressing issues in our local area, and what we should be doing ourselves to improve it.
