Getting the best out of you

Small class sizes and the choice of A Level, BTEC or a combination of these mean that your sixth form experience is tailored for you to ensure that we get the very best out of you.

Students who study at Sedgehill Sixth Form benefit not only from our fantastic sports facilities and professional drama and recording studios, and a wide variety of enrichment and super-curricular activities, but we are also extremely proud of the pastoral care that we offer.

Alongside high quality teaching in small classes, students are also expected to complete at least 40 hours of enrichment activities over the course of the year.  As well as contributing to student’s personal development, this will help students build their skills portfolio for applications to university, apprenticeship or employment.

The enrichment opportunities offered include:

  • peer mentoring
  • student leadership opportunities
  • bespoke careers advice
  • a wide variety of sports & extra-curricular clubs
  • access to a fully equipped gym
  • work experience
  • daily time with tutors
  • Sports leadership
  • volunteering in school and in the community
  • charity work
  • reading with younger students
  • Attending our many clubs
