House System at Sedgehill Academy

Each year group is split in to one of four houses and stduents can earn house points or achievement points for demonstrating our Academy values:

• Integrity
• Kindness
• Excellence

What are the benefits of a house system?

1. A house system encourages you to become more involved in school life through participation in competitions and activities.​
2. A house system develops a vibrant culture of taking part in a variety of house activities.​
3. A house system will provide opportunities to develop social, intellectual, physical, and practical skills. ​
4. A house system will also broaden your extra curriculum activities, these will be held each half term.

House Events

In the first term of this year we ran a Spelling Bee, Christmas Movie Night and even sold candy canes. For the spring term we're planning a rugby and a basketball tournament.
