We're incredibly proud of our Sedgehill Debate Mate team who did so well in the inter-schools competitions! Led by Mr Bakare, they gained real confidence in their ability to question and present matters which were important to them. What a great team!

Whilst releasing an album is nothing new for the school's own record label, X Fade Records, EP1, released last week, is the first album to be available for sale and streaming across all major music platforms. These include Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music and You Tube.

EP1 is a compilation of 5 tracks written, recorded and produced by the students at Sedgehill Academy working with Andy Gilbert.

At Sedgehill Academy reading is one of our most important activities and beginning the day with ‘Read Aloud’ in our tutor groups for Years 7-10 is a key part of helping all students experience the joy of reading. Tutors read aloud to the class while all the students follow along in their own copies of the text using their reading rulers. These rulers have been proven to help students of all reading abilities track the text and are an important part of our reading routine.
